The premise is basically like “My Best Friend’s Wedding”. I was hooked on Emily and Austin and they stole my heart. This novella is a friends-to-lovers romance that gave me exactly what I didn’t know I needed. I loved it and would love more to their story. It’s strong and never-ending even as years pass and it made me so warm inside. There is second guessing when past collides with present and I loved Shyloh and Jake’s relationship. It sets the scene for what could be an amazing second chance romance if this ends up being the start to a full-length novel. She brushes it off at first but then realizes her life might not be the one she wants when she is faced with a big “what if.”

Shyloh is about to marry the man of her dreams in four days and everything seems to be on track until a fortune teller puts a bug in her head. And can I just say I love the ending! It’s perfect for this short!! It’s twisted and entertaining but I wouldn’t change a thing. I will say that I was sucked into the story from the start and was eager to see where it was going. I don’t even want to tell you what it is about because it would ruin it. It is different from what I usually read but I loved it nonetheless. I had no idea what I was getting into when I started this novella.

I wouldn’t have minded it being longer or even a full-length novel. When they open it, it’s a “finally” moment and I loved it.
